Mission

The mission of the Middlesex Beautification Committee is to enhance the overall visual appearance of our community and the quality of life in our town.

Our programs include:

  • Homes of the Month program

  • Holiday Homes program

  • Summer Flower program

  • September 11, 2001 remembrance ceremony

  • Boro Holiday Lawn decorations

HOMES OF THE MONTH - 2020

The Middlesex Beautification Committee's Home of the Month Program, which runs from June until December, is now accepting nominations. We are asking for nominations of homes, in Middlesex Borough, that have colorful flowers or exceptional shrubbery in their front yard. You may nominate a friend’s home, a home you noticed as you drive about town, or your own home, by e-mailing your nomination to the e-mail address listed in this paper. Please include in the message your name and your phone number, and the address of the house you are nominating. A Committee Member will contact you. If your nomination is selected, the home owner will be notified. The committee selects 6 homes each month throughout the spring, summer and fall and during the holidays.

Look for the 'HOME of the MONTH' sign at each of the houses selected each month and a picture of the homes in the Newsletter and on the Middlesex Borough website at www.middlesexboro-nj-gov.

The Homes of the Month program will now continue throughout the summer. If you would like to nominate someone’s home for June, please e-mail nominations to: beautificationmc@gmail.com. Please include your name and your phone number, and the address of the house you are nominating, in the message.

“Home of the Month” Signs Showcase Exceptional Holiday Decorations! The Beautification Committee’s Home of the Month Program has selected the homes pictured here as December’s honorees. It is gratifying to see so many homes showing beautiful holiday decorations with pride. It is no easy task to select winners.
Residents may also view these pictures in the January issue of “About Our Town/Community News”. Middlesex residents are encouraged to nominate any home with exceptional flowers, shrubs or landscaping in the front yard. Please email your suggestions to prepenn@hotmail.com, or nlavery00@gmail.com. Also, please include the address of the home you are nominating and your phone number in the message.

As we transition from Summer to Fall we still have beautiful flowers and shrubbery in bloom. The Beautification Committee has selected the following homes as 'Homes of the Month for September'. They are either nominated by members of the community or selected by the committee for their attractive flowers and/or shrubbery. Look for the 'HOME of the MONTH' sign at each of the houses pictured below and view these pictures on the Middlesex borough website at www.middlesexboro-nj-gov.

Congratulations to this month's winners!

The Homes of the Month program will now continue with fall flowers and decorations for Halloween/Fall in October and Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanza Decorations in December. If you would like to nominate someone’s home for October please e-mail nominations to: prepenn@hotmail.com or call: 516-644-9940 before the 10th of October. Please include the address of the house and your phone number in the message.
