2025 NJDEP Green Acres – Public Hearing Announcement

PURPOSE: Middlesex Borough is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Victor Crowell Park, located along Willow Drive, at the intersection of Union Ave and Raritan Ave.

PROJECT SCOPE: Middlesex Borough proposes to create the following new facilities at Victor Crowell Park: walking trails, updated playground equipment, picnic areas, and enhanced landscaping for improved community use and accessibility. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at www.middlesexboro-nj.gov/njdep-green-acres

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 28, 2025, at 7PM. The meeting will be held in person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting at the Middlesex Borough Municipal Building, 1200 Mountain Ave., Middlesex, NJ 08846.
