Volunteer LynDonna Charles, OEM

We asked LynDonna what inspires her to volunteer. She responded,

“As a passionate individual with a deep commitment to helping make a positive impact in the community, when I relocated to the Middlesex County area in Dec 2022, I started researching volunteer opportunities and organizations. I was excited when I came upon the Middlesex OEM, being that I have health with emergency response in my previous career.

Being a retired US Army soldier the OEM mission and values aligned greatly with my skills and passion for community and social impact as well as the ability to work effectively in diverse teams and make a difference for others.

I gave the OEM office a call and the members were very welcoming and supportive. I am happy to be part of a team of like-minded individuals who are dedicated to understanding the community needs and making a tangible difference in our community and the people who live in it. Helping my community is very humane and empathic and I get great joy from serving others.”
